The Challenge
Spacegoods entered 2025 as a challenger brand in the fast-growing but crowded UK functional mushroom coffee market, competing against established players like Dirtea and Rheal. With consumer trends shifting rapidly, the brand needed to build authority, cut through the noise and convert PR activity into measurable commercial impact.
The Strategy
JBH designed a performance-led digital PR strategy built around trend-driven reactive PR, product pitching and newsroom content, targeting high-authority outlets with commercial and category-relevant placements.
Execution and Innovation
With AI-driven discovery becoming increasingly important, the campaign was built to secure visibility not just in traditional search but in AI-generated search results, with placements surfacing in AI search responses for high-intent queries like "best electrolyte powders 2025."
Results
In six months, the campaign delivered 92 placements with an average domain authority of 60. Organic sessions grew 75.7%, share of voice increased 45%, and Spacegoods overtook Dirtea in online brand visibility.
