Game of Thrones (GoT) Season 8 was one of the most highly anticipated television events of the calendar year. With this in mind, NOW TV teamed up with The Groupon Reach Network and Awin to ‘Transcend their BAU activity’ and put together a campaign as innovative and creative as possible to make the final season a huge success and increase the number of passes purchased.
NOW TV’s key requirements meant using resources that were out of the norm for the brand. The teams pulled together all the resources across multiple platforms, including email databases, geo-targeting capabilities, paid social and influencers to engage with as many users as possible. This formed a flourishing partnership whilst building up to the season finale and converting users on the brand’s website via engagement polls and quiz participation. The campaign achieved huge success, resulting in 402% increase in subscription sales and revenue sales of 455%.
