Who Can Enter?

The awards are open to Advertisers, Publishers, Agencies, Networks, Start-ups, Technology Providers or Individuals who operate in the Performance Marketing sector. Entry may be made directly by the company or via an authorised agent such as their network, agency or PR agency.

Entry may be for multiple categories subject to an additional entry fee. Each submission however, must be tailored to fit the category.


Submissions should relate to activity within the UK and the eligibility period of 1st January 2013 – 24th January 2014. The Global Excellence in Performance Marketing Award is the only award that can refer to activity outside of the UK. Please note that entries which have been submitted for the 2013 Performance Marketing Awards cannot be submitted in 2014, unless it can be proved that substantial developments have taken place.

The entry must attract an element of revenue based on Performance. Hybrid or Tenancy type campaigns can be entered on condition there is some CPA / Performance-based commission attached.

Submission Format & Judging Process
  1. All submissions must be submitted online by the deadline. Once your application has been received you will be emailed confirmation of entry along with a VAT receipt.
  2. Your written entry must be no more than the equivalent of two sides of A4 in a minimum of 8 point type, and must be saved in .pdf; the file size must not exceed 6MB.
  3. Entries which do not adhere to these rules will automatically face a penalty deduction from the judges.
  4. The completed entry may be accompanied if desired by a single piece of supporting evidence if you feel it adds value to your entry. This could be in the form of an image or PDF.
  5. If part of your entry contains video, they must be uploaded to your server and the login details contained in your executive summary.
  6. At point of entry please submit a screenshot of what you would like to be displayed on the night if you are shortlisted. This could be an image of the campaign or brand logos. The file must be saved as a .jpg with the dimensions 540px wide by 580px high.

Non Vertical Awards – Judges Will Be Voting On:
  1. Clear Objectives
    Provide evidence of clear, well thought out objectives and overall strategy for the campaign, innovation, application or feature.
  2. Innovation and Uniqueness
    Demonstrate innovation and uniqueness used within the specified activity.
  3. Feasibility
    Define the need, drivers, opportunity and commercial feasibility for the campaign.
  4. Smart Execution
    Briefly describe how your strategy was executed and what made it stand out.
  5. Success and ROI
    Clearly show ROI from the campaign (state hard figures) and ultimately why it met your objectives and deemed a success*.

Vertical Awards – Judges Will Be Voting On:
  1. Clear Campaign Objectives
    Provide evidence to judges of clear, well thought out objectives and overall strategy for the campaign within the vertical.
  2. Innovation and Uniqueness
    Demonstrate innovation and uniqueness within the vertical.
  3. Relationship Management & Transparency
    Judges must see examples of how you ensure your Performance Marketing activity is transparent and methods deployed to engage the publisher or advertiser relationship.
  4. Smart Execution
    Briefly describe how your strategy was executed and what made it stand out within your vertical.
  5. Success and ROI
    Clearly show the ROI from the campaign (include actual figures) and why you believe it was a success within the Performance Marketing sector*

* Please mark all commercially sensitive data with ‘Judges Eyes Only’. All judges sign an NDA as standard. Judges will be restricted from judging any category where conflicts of interests may arise.

Withdrawing an Entry

An entry may be withdrawn for any reason up until 11 March 2014 upon written request; however the entry fee is non-refundable.

Commercial Confidence

For your entry to be fully assessed it is extremely important that you provide as much detail about your performance as possible. In particular, figures relating to the ROI of your activity / campaign. Greater transparency with the judges will enable them to score you fairly.

All judges sign an NDA before participating and judges will not be involved in any categories where a commercial conflict could arise. We will use snippets and summaries from entries for publication in the winners guide which is published after the event. If you prefer this not to occur it's essential that any information that is commercially sensitive be clearly marked as ‘Judges eyes only’.

Hot Shot Rising Star Award

Nominations for the Hot Shot Rising Star award require specific information and are free to submit.

The nominee must be 30 or under up until 31st January 2014, joined the performance marketing-driven company during 2013, and look set to go on to great things.

Your nomination must meet the entry criteria to be valid and eligible for consideration.

Remember that any information you wish to remain confidential must be stated: "for Judges eyes only"

Please remember that all answers must relate specifically to the period 1st January 2013 to 24th January 2014.
