Vikki Chowney is Director of Content & Publishing Strategies at H&K Strategies, joining the agency to oversee the creation of multichannel content that tells a brand's story, and working out where to put it so that it makes significant impact.
Prior to this she was Head of Social at TMW Unlimited, where she oversaw community management, influencer outreach, brand partnerships and UGC for the agency. Her team of 20 covered 35 brands across Activision, McCain Foods, Unilever, Reckitt Benckiser, Virgin Trains, Infiniti & Canon, and one of her Lead Community Managers was awarded Community Manager of the Year at The Drum's Social Media Buzz Awards 2014.
She was also Head of Agency at Things Unlimited; which makes real-world experiences, captures them digitally and makes sure they’re shared socially. A joint venture between two award-winning agencies within the Creston Unlimited Group (TMW Unlimited and Nelson Bostock Group Unlimited), the team unites the very best in social, digital, PR and tech for the likes of General Mills, Sony Pictures, HTC and Toshiba.
Voted one of The Drum's top 30 women in digital under 30 in 2012, one of Red Magazine's 20 under 30 for 2013 and a finalist in the IPA's Women of Tomorrow competition for 2013.
Vikki is a former journalist, most recently as News Editor for Econsultancy. Prior to that she was Content Editor for the Jaguar Future project - created by Jaguar to tell the stories behind the C-X16 concept car.
From 2009 - 2011 Vikki was Editor of Reputation Online, a sister title to new media age at Centaur Media that presented both editorial and user-generated coverage of the digital PR landscape. During her time there she penned a weekly column for nma on the same topic.
She's written for Communicate magazine, BitchBuzz, The Guardian, Mobile Industry Review, Marketing Week and was a G20Voice blogger for Oxfam at the London and Pittsburgh Summits in 2009.
